

Beck Tench
Beck Tench is a Principal Investigator at Harvard's Center for Digital Thriving, part of Project Zero at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She co-leads the IMAGINE project, which develops classroom resources and research focused on helping young people and educators build agency in their relationships with AI. A former science museum exhibit designer, Beck brings a participatory, design-driven approach to her work — including practices like graphic listening, where she creates real-time conceptual drawings during workshops with educators. She holds a PhD in Information Science from the University of Washington and lives on Bainbridge Island, Washington.
