

Margaret Garcia
Margaret Garcia is a 24 year old mental health advocate working within the advising, research, and legal intersections of mental health. She is deeply passionate about translating mental health information to the youth it is about, advocating for mental health accessibility, and advising on the creation of youth mental health interventions to improve their wellbeing. Through her experiences working as a research assistant at UCLA, interning at the Bazelon Center for Mental Health Law, and advising on projects under the California Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative, Stanford University, and Northwestern University, she has intergrated her knowledge to create her mental health Non-profit Latina Psychology and podcast within, Llama a La Latina (Call the Latina) [Llama pronounced YA-MA]. In which, she aims to encourage youth and young adults to understand their mental health through deepdiving into relevant social commentary, related research, and peer insight.
