Mission
KQED is the San Francisco Bay Area’s public media station, inspiring lifelong learning and civic participation through trusted, fact-based journalism, storytelling, and free, award-winning media literacy resources for K-12 educators and secondary students that inspire youth voice and civic readiness.
What We Funded
KQED Education and its GenAI Youth Advisory Board will design and implement free professional learning and standards-aligned classroom resources that equip educators to help pre-teens and teens develop AI agency – to think critically, recognize bias, and responsibly create media for public audiences, empowering them to shape how AI influences their identities, creativity, and futures.
