Abby Binder
Abby Binder is working to build stronger community wellbeing by centering young people’s lived experiences in conversations about our technological and civic future. At this moment, young people are navigating a slew of societal changes, including a technological revolution, polarization, a loneliness crisis, and leadership that is not meeting the moment.
Young people have always been at the forefront of leading the way through periods of societal change. As digital natives, they are uniquely positioned to make sense of what is happening, especially online, and to identify trends before they fully emerge. Abby believes the Gen Z perspective is essential to solving society’s most pressing problems.
Abby has a strong research background in developmental psychology and societal trends, bringing both lived experience and research to her work. She is passionate about promoting intergenerational collaboration and bridging the gap between young leaders and the professional world. Through her work, she encourages young people to harness their innate power for social good while ensuring they have the support, mentorship, and opportunities they need to pursue their purpose.
As Director of Development at Civics Unplugged, Abby puts these values into action. She supports the next generation of leaders through civic education, community building, and investments in innovation, all while helping foster a tight-knit community of young innovators. She seeks partnerships with like-minded organizations to collaborate toward a brighter, more equitable future for all.
