
Daniel Merin
Daniel Merin is the Assistant Director in the Office of School Climate & Culture within the School District of Philadelphia. In this role, Daniel supports SDP schools in developing frameworks and implementing strategies that promote safe, equitable, restorative, and non-punitive disciplinary approaches. He is also a trainer in conflict resolution, trauma-informed practices, and MTSS processes.
Daniel has a longstanding interest in restorative practices, recess equity, trauma-informed care, violence intervention programming, youth development, workforce development, youth entrepreneurialism, and social policy. Prior to joining SDP, Daniel served as the Community School Director for Comegys Elementary School through the University of Pennsylvania Netter Center for Community Partnerships. He is also a former Peace Corps volunteer, having served in Costa Rica from 2008 to 2010.
