Jacques Louis

Director of Strategic Partnerships and Community Outreach
|
Center for Parent and Teen Communication at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia

A proud HBCU dad of two young men on the back end of adolescence, Jacques Louis brings both professional expertise and lived experience to the belief that the work of supporting families is less about fixing a young person and more about cultivating the environment that sees the young person as they deserve to be seen. His work centers on pouring love, strategy, and understanding into families—with generous doses of humility and patience—and empowering them with tools that support communication, adolescent development, and resilience in a rapidly evolving world.

Jacques serves as Director of Community Partnerships and Outreach at the Center for Parent and Teen Communication (CPTC) at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, where his work sits at the intersection of research, practice, and community trust. Over nine years at CPTC, he has built partnerships and programs that are as rigorous as they are relevant—particularly for families historically excluded from research. A throughline of his work is making sure CPTC is listening as much as it is leading, especially when it comes to fathers, teens, and communities often researched but rarely centered.

He co-leads the Black Fathers Project and has developed faith-based parenting programs at Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church—both reflecting his commitment to meeting families where they are, in the institutions and spaces they already trust. Jacques brings to this work a background that includes leading programs at The Brotherhood/Sister Sol and NYC's Expanded Success Initiative, including an acclaimed poetry and spoken word program that produced two New York City poetry slam winners. He holds degrees from Brown University and Johns Hopkins University.
