Julie Chelovich Perconte believes in audacious goals and the discipline to achieve them. As Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Urban Initiatives, she turns vision into action by strengthening strategy, operations, and sustainability so youth-centered solutions can thrive.Julie has dedicated her career to recreation-based youth development and creating third spaces where youth thrive beyond home and school. After studying education policy at Brown University, she committed to closing opportunity gaps within our educational systems.

She began as a volunteer coach with Urban Initiatives in 2008 and quickly realized her greatest impact would come from building the systems that help programs scale.She holds a certificate in nonprofit management from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.
